Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Power Across Kyiv

Ukraine's power facilities have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused electricity outages in large parts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while local people in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and encountered interruptions to drinking water, according to local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southern area, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has intensified assaults on electrical systems over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not window dressing but decisive action - from the America, the EU and the G7 - in supplying defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.

He said that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen rockets struck energy facilities, labeling such strikes as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A wave of strikes damaged electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the assaults on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the city came under heavy assaults throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child died and three other people were wounded.

The assaults succeed evenings of bombing campaigns in the area, parts of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to spot.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the national power system, with strikes already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and authorities were bracing for more assaults.
